Not much about the cartoonists, except noting Tom Toles used to be part of the Editorial Board decision making team. I was not an admirer of Hiatt's later tenure, but it was better than the morass the section currently is. There is no staff cartoonist, as I've noted here many times.

The hometown paper of record used to run three editorials per day, but now publishes only one—most are focused on places other than D.C.
