Over forty issues, Tom King and Daniel Sampere transformed Wonder Woman's world, introduced Trinity and the Sovereign to the DC Universe, redefined Diana as an outlaw, a rebel, a mother, a revolutionary, a warrior, and a legend, and delivered one of the most talked-about Wonder Woman runs in modern comics history. Now it all concludes in Wonder Woman #40 this December.

Wonder Woman #40, written by Tom King with art and main cover by Daniel Sampere, will feature variant covers by David Nakayama, Julian Totino Tedesco, and Jamie Hewlett. The grand finale arrives in comic shops on December 16, 2026.

"We're trying to widen the apeture" but not include any journalists about comics or cartoons

The blurry line between creator and journalist

How Nazanin Nour is helping redefine journalism

October 14, 2026

"Justin Bank, a news leader who worked at The Washington Post and NPR, this year created a database of more than 2,300 vetted independent journalists and creators called the Independent Journalism Atlas. The atlas contains mostly U.S.-based journalists but includes dozens of international journalists and creators, too. He explains that who counts as a journalist in different parts of the world is tricky, as some governments require formal licenses and many do not. Now, as many people are creating content around their expertise, the definition gets murky — although his group focuses on the content output and standards of what individuals are producing. “We’re trying to widen the aperture” of who is doing journalism today, Bank said."

Here's the site that doesn't include any comics journalism (including animation) - https://journalismatlas.com/ - a multibillion dollar industry in the US, but even larger in SE Asia.
