May 3: Shrek the Musical

....is brought to you by the students at Washington-Lee High School in Arlington. The last show on May 3rd will have an evening performance at 7pm. Ticket prices for Shrek: $7 in advance and $10 at the door. 

I saw this tonight, and it was really a lot of fun. The kids did a great job! It's the perfect way to end your Free Comic Book Day!

Comic Art in today's Washington Post

The Opinion section has what purports to be "The Year in Cartoons." It's not a very good selection.

Steve Brodner illustrates 2009 predictions in the last Sunday Source section, which also presumably means that we won't see Danny Hellman's illustrations in the paper anymore either.

Nov 28: Shrek the Halls?

During the Peanuts' Thanksgiving show, we just saw an ad for what appears to be a made-for-tv movie, Shrek the Halls. I'm sure this has potential - remember the Star Wars Ewok holiday special?
