Since 2001, the festival has honored the richness of the French language and French communities, bringing together more than 40 partners including the various embassies, the Alliance Française of Washington DC, as well as the Smithsonian Associates. All screenings in association with the DC Francophonie festival are free to the public. However, a donation between five to ten dollars would be greatly appreciated in order to keep events like these free in the future.
