Political Cartoonists as "Canaries in the Coal Mine" by Cavna

Michael Cavna has done a series of strips on the threat to political cartoonists.

It starts here, and then continues in the following links.

Warped by Michael Cavna for December 27, 2024

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Can You Hear Us NOW? (Happy New Year '25)"

"Can You Hear Us NOW? (Happy New Year '25)"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=4063

"...the US has the #1 most expensive healthcare system in the world, yet
we rank roughly #42 in life expectancy. United is the [indecipherable]
largest company in the US by market cap, behind only Apple, Google,
Walmart. It has grown and grown, but as our life expectancy? No the
reality is, these [indecipherable] have simply gotten too powerful, and
they continue to abuse our country for immense profit because the
American public has allowed them to get away with it..."

—Luigi Mangione, Statement of 12.04.2024 as posted by Ken Klippenstein

For some time now, even the clods on MSNBC and in the Democratic Party
have acknowledged that yes, there is a class war going on. I'd just been
wondering how long it was going to be before the working class got off
its ass and started shooting back.

Cripes, man... how many years now — since at least the first Trump
Regime — has the U.S. Left been pummeling us silly with academic jargon
like "praxis" and hardly ever at all actually showing us "praxis" in
action (as it were)?

Now, you vegan-potlucking clowns want to talk PRAXIS? Luigi served us up
some praxis, sizzlin' hot and spicy.

Happy New Year, MUTHAFUCKAAAHHHHS.

WaPo forgoes best editorial cartoons of the year feature?

The Post does not appear to be doing the traditional feature, which dates back decades. Ann Telnaes, Michael Ramirez, and Edith Pritchett appear regularly in the Post, while two other cartoonists may be featured on the weekend. Telnaes is based in DC, Ramirez in Las Vegas, and Pritchett in the UK. Neither a 'best of everyone' or best of Telnaes appeared in print or on the website as far as I can tell.
