About the Author:
Leland Melvin is an American engineer and a retired NASA astronaut. After graduating from the University of Richmond, Leland was a professional football player and the only one ever to go into space! He served on board the Space Shuttle Atlantis as a mission specialist on multiple flights. He currently lives in Virgina with his dogs.
