John Kascht in DC, in light of new Watterson book collaboration

New is breaking of a new book written by Bill Watterson and illustrated by John Kascht. The two met at Richard's house while working on The Art of Richard Thompson, (of which I was an editor), and it's a real pleasure to hear that they kept working together after that project. John is a go-to caricaturist for major publications, and talked about that aspect of Richard's career in the book.

John's got a lot of material in the National Portrait Gallery thanks to curator Wendy Wick Reaves and we got a tour of it from the man himself years ago. Here's an article on his caricature work for them and this search will pull up a score of caricatures the Museum owns.
