Kent Menace is a mysterious mariner, as well as a weird hero who radiates - and attracts - excitement, danger, and even a bit of humor. "Brilliant really began as a dream I had with my old friend, JEFF DILLON, in the form of Brilliant Entertainment. In fact, I published my original 16-page, 200-count preview edition under that banner. Well, then for two issues we were published by another company. But, for all the work I was doing creating and marketing the books, I was told they really weren't hitting the mark. I had a hard time believing that, so, with a very cool logo designed by the great Mark Wheatley, I decided that if I am going to work this hard at it, it is up to me to make it successful. Nobody else."

being too complex, too obscure an issue... but then, a couple of weeks
ago I was reading about how BRICS was strengthening,
"de-dollarization" was spreading, how the spread of de-dollarization
was starting to get people shook on the Hill and how this means the
issue might finally break out into public media, and about how the
BRICS countries were contemplating creating an alternate reserve
currency and — and suddenly, that goofy-ass dollar-bill parody gag
was starting to look pretty good...

Small Press Expo (SPX) is the preeminent showcase for the exhibition of independent comics, graphic novels, and alternative political cartoons. SPX is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit that brings together more than 500 artists and publishers to meet their readers, booksellers, and distributors each year. Graphic novels, mini comics, and alternative comics will all be on display and for sale by their authors and illustrators. The expo includes a series of panel discussions and interviews with this year's guests.

The Ignatz Award is a festival prize held every year at SPX recognizing outstanding achievement in comics and cartooning, with the winners chosen by attendees at the show.
