See "Yeas & Nays: Cartoonists enjoy evening in the sun" by Jeff Dufour and Patrick Gavin, Washington Examiner October 5, 2007.
Nobody invited me as their date, so this is the first I've seen of this. Good work, Nate! Anybody who was there (Nate?) want to post a few details? The menu? Risque stories?

There was nothing too risque at the event, if you don't count my butt-less chaps attire. (Hey, I thought we creative types got leeway!) It was a nice evening with oodles of cartoons up for auction, and the large table of free finger food wasn't too shabby. I had five cartoons in the auction, and I was pretty happy with their winning bids. The one gripe I have is about the abundance of cartoon prints. For those who work solely on the computer, I can understand. But if a cartoonist draws an original, send it and not a print!
