Ultimately we might need to be honest with ourselves: there may just not be enough of an audience to continue this project. This might be the end of the road. A magazine like this is about the smallest stakes imaginable. When the world is engulfed by war and exploitation and climate disaster, independent art newspapers fall low on everyone's list of priorities. But we care about this magazine and this community, and we don't want to let either one go. We believe in LAAB as a platform for the radical imagination. LAAB is a space for human expression, curiosity, creativity. It doesn't change anything but it means something. |
