Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Nearly 90 Percent"

From DC's anarchist cartoonist Mike Flugennock -

"Nearly 90 Percent"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3540

Y'know, it's truly amazing when clowns like these just come right out
and say it, and seem so obviously bummed about it — like, just exactly
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is wrong with nearly 90 percent of the goddamn
Earth, anyway? Can't they see we're fighting for democracy? Bwah ha ha
ha ha ha hahhh.

Perhaps it's because nearly 90% of the Earth has already seen the USA
in action in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Korea, Guantanamo, My Lai,
Abu Ghraib, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Bolivia, Cuba, Hiroshima and
Nagasaki.

Perhaps it's because unlike nearly 100% of Americans, nearly 90% of
the rest of Earth isn't a bunch of goddamn indoctrinated idiots.

Brian is a rookie reporter and the only Indigenous writer in the newsroom. He is tired of being forced into reporting on the common crime stories that stereotype his community, the nearby Tuscarora reservation. But when a mysterious roadside assault lands Tim, a white man, in the hospital, Brian cannot tell just another bad story from the rez. Tim is the brother of Brian’s mother’s late boyfriend who Brian has known for many years. Through flashback reflections of Brian’s childhood, poetry, black and white art that opens each new thematic section and slice-of-life stories on the reservation, My Good Man reflects Brian’s attempt to create balance between Haudenosaunee and American life, as he fights to tell the story of his people with nuance.

Eric Gansworth, S˙ha-weñ na-saeË€, is an enrolled Onondaga writer and visual artist, raised at the Tuscarora Nation. His award-winning books include If I Ever Get Out of Here, Give Me Some Truth, and Apple, which was longlisted for the 2020 National Book Award. He is a professor and Lowery Writer-in-Residence at Canisius College.

Lynda Barry has worked as a painter, cartoonist, writer, illustrator, playwright, editor, commentator, and teacher. She has written four bestselling how-to graphic novels for Drawn & Quarterly, including What It Is which won the Eisner Award for Best Reality Based Graphic Novel. She is associate professor of art and Discovery Fellow at University of Wisconsin Madison.

Coming soon! Compleating Cul de Sac, second expanded edition!

Coming soon! Compleating Cul de Sac, second expanded edition! 80 pages more than the 1st edition. It's the perfect Thanksgiving gift!

Building on the original 2016 edition (designed by Richard's friend Bono Mitchell), editor Mike Rhode and layout designer Barbara Sutliff added additional material done by Richard as dedicaces in his books, more interviews, and the CDS children's theater play, in addition to the over 80 original CDS strips he left out of The Complete Cul de Sac.

We've also included many of the drawings of the CDS characters done for and in remembrance of Richard, and charity ones that have raised money for the Fox Foundation's Parkinson's disease research (after the initial Team Cul de Sac book and auction project by Chris Sparks).

All money from the book will go to Team Cul de Sac for the Fox Foundation. The book will be available to order via print on demand before the holidays.
