Rob Ullman dropped from City Paper... 18 years ago

I just got this clipping back from my Dad's estate. Dale Rawlings and I had both written letters to the editor about Rob. You can still usually find Rob at SPX but he's probably sold out of the WCP art by now...

 

UPDATED: I sent this to Rob, who responded, "Still my favorite freelance gig ever. Fun fact: I got the call from Andrew Beaujon (who is awesome and whose hands were tied) that the job was coming to an end on my 35th birthday! Hard to believe it’s been 18 years. 

 

I couldn’t make it to SPX this year… hoping I’ll have something new to sell in 2026. (2026!!!)  

 

I really do miss having such a connection with DC and the City Paper readers!"

Small Press Expo, 2023, day one in photos

Day one was great. The floor was hopping but not jammed. Lots of fun seeing people again for the first time in a year, or longer. Back tomorrow to spend more money.
