Halloween comics giveaway was a success again

The Deadpool / Wolverine noise makers were surprisingly popular.

Final count is about 160 kids, some of whom took candy or comics bookmarks from the ALA instead, and some whose parents who took comics.  Most kids took only one or two in spite of encouragement to take more. I packed up twice and then unpacked for very grateful latecomers. This might have been the busiest year ever.

There were only about 6 comics for Trick or Read this year... 1 from Dark Horse - Where Monsters Lie and 4 new from Marvel - Fantastic Four, Venom, Star Wars Kylo Ren, and Spider-boy (whomever that is). These are all 13+ rated because you wouldn't want to put out any comics actually for kids... Although Marvel reprinted the Spidey and Friends from a couple of years ago yet again... and the kids remembered having gotten it already. Still, at least Marvel did it, which is more than one can say about DC.

The 2024 new comics, for the record

Anyway with leftovers from previous years and some FCBD issues, I gave away about 2 1/2 Diamond boxes and have slightly over a box left.

My thanks to Fantom Comics for ordering the Halloween bundles for me. Did they miss anything though?
