Walt Simonson and Joel Pollack

Joel Pollack of Big Planet Comics and I were talking today, and Walt Simonson's name came up in passing. Joel met him when Simonson was working at the Maryland Book Exchange, and drew a sign for their science fiction section that Joel asked about. Joel says that when Simsonson decided to go to NYC to make it in comics, Joel passed along Howard Chaykin's phone number.
