Joker pumpkin pattern

Yesterday's USA Weekend, distributed in the Examiner, had this in it: Download The Joker stencil for your pumpkin carving, USA WEEKEND October 19 2008. The stencil looks rather hard actually...

hey Mike -- can't believe you stumbled upon this pumpkin pattern. It's actually not too hard. We had to carve it for the photo and I drew the stencil.

Since meeting you, I'm looking at USA Weekend more closely. Nothing like knowing someone behind the curtain to pique one's interest. 43 million circulation, right? How about running some comic strips in there? ;^)

I just figured I'd give a poke in the ribs - sometimes weekly strips can really be interesting. Chris Ware's Acme Novelty Library started that way, right? And now the NY Times Magazine is doing it...

So this is by far the most popular post, outstripping even the scoop that the Library of Congress got Spider-Man's first appearance. Yesterday had 858 hits on the blog, up from around 560 the day before. Most days we see under 200...

...now how to make Halloween come more than once a year...
