May 19: Meet THANOS writer Tini Howard this Sunday at Third Eye Annapolis

Meet rising star Tini Howard (Age of Conan Belit, Thanos, and more) at Third Eye Annapolis this Sunday!

MAY 19th, 2019!
One of our biggest signings of 2019 -- the legendary artist behind those beloved Marvel Baby variants & the brilliant Image series I HATE FAIRYLAND comes to Third Eye!
Third Eye Faithful, you know that we love hosting amazing creators and that you all have the best time with these events! We're so stoked to be able to bring you another signing, this time with THANOS writer TINI HOWARD!

Thanos may very well be one of the most divisive figures in the entire Marvel Universe, but one thing is for sure – we can't get enough of the Mad Titan! Tini Howard has done some great work on some of our other favorites, and we're stoked to get our hands on the start of this awesome new THANOS mini-series!

So, Third Eye Faithful, get stoked, and make sure you join us on May 19th, 2019 from 11am-1pm and help us celebrate THANOS #1!

So, what's the scoop on THANOS #1?
Everyone knows that Gamora is Thanos' favorite daughter. They've done some serious damage together, and Gamora absolutely hates her adoptive father for making her into a killer.

Now, Thanos is dead. Taken down by the most deadly assassin in the galaxy. His own daughter, Gamora.

It's a brutal way to die… but everything couldn't have been all bad, could it? Gamora may hate Thanos, but how did she always? In THANOS #1, we get to explore the beginning of the relationship between Thanos and Gamora, and man, do we have a LOT of questions!

OTHER PROJECTS BY TINI HOWARD!
The name Bêlit elicits fear in anyone who dares utter it up and down the coasts of the Hyborian Age. Should you happen to catch a glimpse of the Pirate Queen's ship, The Tigress – the end may truly be nigh for you.

Tini Howard brings Bêlit, one of Conan's most fearsome compatriots, to life in the pages of AGE OF CONAN BÊLIT. We dive into Bêlit's earlier life, exploring the adventure of how she came to be the undisputed Queen of the Black Coast!

The teenage Bêlit, obsessed with the sea – as well as the monsters and treasures she thinks are summoning her there – stows away on the ship of the dread Admiral Atrahasis into a deadly adventure even she could not predict!

Wrestling fans, if you've been keeping up with the Netflix hit GLOW, you're absolutely going to want to jump right off the top turnbuckle into this series! GLOW follows the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling as they do their best to take over the LA wrestling scene!

A strange position to find themselves in, the ladies of GLOW are ahead of schedule for once, and Sam (who was never the greatest manager to begin with) makes them yet another promise he can't keep: a wrestling-free weekend!

Excited for time to relax (and maybe heal a few bumps and bruises – hey, wrestling hurts!) the ladies are disappointed when Sam reveals that they'll have to raise money to get to the event in the only way that makes sense… wrestling!

But what happens when they encounter ACTUAL gorgeous lady wrestlers? Can they hang with ladies who are real wrestlers? Nothing could really got that wrong?
Right?

May 18: Meet comic superstar Skottie Young this Saturday at Third Eye Annapolis

Meet comics legend Skottie Young (I HATE FAIRYLAND) at Third Eye Annapolis this Saturday!

MAY 18th, 2019!
One of our biggest signings of 2019 -- the legendary artist behind those beloved Marvel Baby variants & the brilliant Image series I HATE FAIRYLAND comes to Third Eye!
Third Eye Faithful, one of our all-time favorite creators in comics has gotta be Skottie Young, who's unique talent for both writing and illustrating some of the most entertaining, and immersive comic book worlds, has had us hooked and consistently impressed for years!

As huge fans of Skottie's work on I HATE FAIRYLAND and BULLY WARS, we knew we were going to be excited about his IMAGE COMICS series, MIDDLEWEST, which may be our favorite thing by SKOTTIE yet!

In MIDDLEWEST, Skottie & the incredibly talented Jorge Corona are building an epic modern-fantasy read that's on par with some of the best darn comics we've read, and brings us strong memories of the golden age of DC's VERTIGO imprint (series like FABLES, JOE THE BARBARIAN, THE SANDMAN, and more), and we're so stoked to see it arriving in trade paperback!

Read on, Third Eye Faithful, and find out why we're so in love with MIDDLEWEST, and why we're totally pumped to be hosting SKOTTIE to help launch it at Third Eye!

So, what's the scoop on MIDDLEWEST and why do we love it?
This incredible new IMAGE COMICS ongoing series has quickly become one of our favorite reads, month in and month out, and if you haven't yet gotten into it: this first trade paperback collecting 1-6 for just $16.99 is the perfect place to start!

The lands between the coasts are vast, slow to change, and full of hidden magics.

The town of Farmington has been destroyed, sending an unwitting adventurer and his vulpine companion in search of answers-and to quell a coming storm that speaks his name.

From author SKOTTIE YOUNG (I HATE FAIRYLAND, Deadpool, Fortunately, the Milk) and artist JORGE CORONA (NO. 1 WITH A BULLET, Feathers, Big Trouble in Little China: Old Man Jack) comes the tale of Abel, a young boy who must navigate an old land in order to reconcile his family's history.

The perfect read for fans of dark fantasy like Return to Oz, classic Don Bluth animation, and/or Miyazaki animation. Collects MIDDLEWEST #1-6.
Make sure you get the MIDDLEWEST VOL.1 THIRD EYE COMICS exclusive edition!

In addition to the regular edition of MIDDLEWEST, we're going to have a special edition THIRD EYE COMICS variant of MIDDLEWEST featuring the artwork of SKOTTIE himself, and limited to just 200 copies!

That's right: it's gonna be a popular one, and you can get yours for just $16.99! We'll have it available in all of our stores, or you can pre-order your copy now!
And, of course, we'll have plenty available at our signing with SKOTTIE on 5/18/19!

OTHER PROJECTS BY SKOTTIE YOUNG!

I HATE FAIRYLAND is one of our all-time faves, and one of Skottie's most beloved works!

In I HATE FAIRYLAND, we get an Adventure Time/Alice in Wonderland-style epic that smashes it's cute little face against Tank Girl/Deadpool-esque violent madness has arrived.

In an adventure that ain't for the little kiddies, (unless you have super cool parents, then whatever), you'll meet Gert-a six year old girl who has been stuck in the magical world of Fairyland for thirty years and will hack and slash her way through anything to find her way back home.

Join Gert and her giant battle-axe on a delightfully blood soaked journey to see who will survive the girl who HATES FAIRYLAND!

Rufus has been the biggest bully in Rottenville since kindergarten, but everything changed on the first day of high school.

Suddenly going from bully to bullied, he's forced to make a shaky pact with his favorite geeks, Spencer and his twin sibling besties Edith and Ernie, to survive the Hunger Games-like contest known as the Bully Wars-where the winner will rule the school!

Collects BULLY WARS #1-5.

Skottie has really built up a following with all the awesome and different stuff he's done, and one of the things he's most famous for are his incredible variant covers featuring little kid versions of Marvel's greatest heroes!
These iconic images of classic covers and iconic heroes and villains have captivated fans of all ages, and as such, has built quite a following for Young's work.

We'll have plenty of the assorted Marvel baby variants available to purchase at our signing with Skottie so you can get some of your favorites signed!

Another series that really caught our imaginations from Skottie was his incredible OZ comics from Marvel, where he took all of the Oz tales and adapted them into some of the most charming, and compelling graphic novels we've ever seen.

It all starts with WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ, and then carries on from there — and we'll have all of the Oz graphic novels in stock and available for you to scoop and check out at our signing with Skottie on 10/24/15!

The ROCKET RACCOON ongoing that Marvel put out in 2014 and 2015 was a true blast that captured the pure madcap mayhem of classic '90s indie gems like SCUD THE DISPOSABLE ASSASSIN and more into the realm of the Marvel cosmic universe — and we loved every second of it.
Not only will have the single issues available for you to scoop and get signed, but also the graphic novels collecting Skottie's run!

And, of course, with the awesomeness that was the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY film, everyone's favorite gun-toting furball got his own comic series — and, guess who made it look so darn good?

Skottie Young!
