Graphic Policy by Brett Schenker - another comics blogger based in the DC area

I stopped into Big Planet Comics Vienna yesterday (great store! I spent hundreds), and Jared introduced me to another local blogger who's been going strong since 2008!

Brett Schenker (Founder/Blogger in Chief) – Brett founded the site after wanting to do a bit more creative writing than his political job allowed. Thinking through what he could blog about, he settled on comics, thinking he could bring a fresh perspective and creative voice in doing so. Prior to that, for 6 years, Brett worked in various comic and game shops, managing two, and co-owning one. He also has an editor/producing credit for the comic Targs: Book X #1 by Razorback Studios.

In politics he has worked in the United States Senate, for a county legislature, on campaigns at every level including multiple Presidential campaigns, as well as political organizations and non-profits. Today, he continues his work in the political realm, mainly focused in digital technology, email deliverability, online organizing & advocacy, and tech policy.

You can follow him on Twitter @bhschenker.

I just signed up for his newsletter at https://graphicpolicy.com/ and am about to read some interviews.

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Happy Putsch-aversary"

From DC's anarchist cartoonist, Mike Flugennock -

"Happy Putsch-aversary"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3369

It may have been a putsch from a Mel Brooks movie, but it was still a
goddamn putsch. And what is our so-called "opposition party" doing
about it? From the looks of things — much like reproductive rights —
the Democrats have absolutely no plans to actually DO ANYTHING about
it other than dragging their "investigation" out as long as they can
so they can use it to fundraise for the midterms and for '24, keep the
Liberals in line, and beat down the Left.

And speaking of beatdowns, why the hell aren't Marjorie Taylor Greene
and Matt Gaetz in jail and expelled from Congress? F'crissake, they
supported a goddamn fascist putsch. They're friggin' collaborators.
Hell, Greene even gave a bunch of chuds a full recon tour. Why haven't
the Democrats tried to have them expelled from the House and thrown in
the goddamn can instead of "reaching across the aisle" and all that
horseshit?

It's because the Democrats are collaborators, too.
