George Mason University's School of Art and Mason Exhibitions present Visual Voices with Nora Krug, recorded in front of a live audience at Harris Theater on George Mason University's Fairfax campus on September 26, 2024; Visual Voices is a professional lecture series, curated with faculty guidance from George Mason's School of Art and coordinated by Mason Exhibitions. Speakers are chosen to represent leading and emerging talented practitioners. Nora Krug is a German-American author and illustrator whose drawings and visual narratives have appeared in newspapers, magazines and anthologies internationally. In September 2023, Krug published Diaries of War: Two Visual Accounts from Ukraine and Russia.

With credits at Disney and DreamWorks on films like Bolt, Tangled, The Boss Baby, and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Heather brings deep industry experience. The Masterclass is hosted by Mel Jones, a producer, director, and writer known for Dear White People, Burning Sands, and Really Love. Presented by the Visiting Filmmakers Series and supported by Mason's arts and humanities departments, this event offers a unique look into professional storytelling and animation.
