Curator’s Conversation: Herblock, Drawn from Memory

The political cartoons of Herbert Lawrence Block (1909–2001), known by the pen name “Herblock,” appeared in American newspapers for more than seventy years. National Portrait Gallery senior historian Sid Hart, Pulitzer prize-winning reporter Haynes Johnson, historian Roger Wilkins together with Pulitzer prize-winning cartoonist Tony Auth, will join in a conversation about the life and work of one of the nation’s greatest political cartoonists, Herblock.
