Mike Imboden's Fist of Justice
Frederick, Maryland's Mike Imboden and his Fist of Justice comic book is profiled in "Frederick Writer Creates Comic Book Hero," Associated Press February 11, 2008. I picked up a couple of his books at a con late last year - he does some nice parody covers of early Marvel books.

I don't know that 'parody' is the right word - I'd say they're more of an homage.
Covers aside, did you like the actual stories?
Ok, homage works for me.
I'm afraid they got set aside in the Christmas rush and I haven't found them again yet. Sorry. I will though!
