Barnes + Noble suggests...

At the Seven Corners' Barnes and Noble bookstore this weekend, I bought some Green Lantern novels (an old failing of mine) and in addition to a receipt, I got a slip labelled "You May Also Like..." with some other Green Lantern books, and a couple of superhero novels. I didn't particularly need the recommendations, but it's nice to see them trying harder.

June 19: Washington DC Comicon

On June 19th, the Washington DC Comicon returns to George Mason University with Frank Cho, Larry "G.I. Joe" Hama and Ron "Green Lantern" Marz.

OT: Would you pay a half of a million dollars for Green Lantern?

The New York Times had an ad last week for an auction at Bonhams for Mel Ramos' 1962 painting The Green Lantern with a pre-sale estimate of $600-800K. Obviously influenced by Gil Kane, the painting sold today for $500,000. Bonhams site has more details including the painting's history.
