He went to the fictitious National Science Museum. A museum as real as a person campaigning for Senator on the National Mall.

We do have a National Academy of Sciences, but you have to be asked to join that. We used to have a National Museum of History and Technology, but first that metamorphosed into American History, and then got named after a billionaire a few years back.

Maybe he'll go to the National Museum of the Bible next!

When I saw Ann Telnaes's brilliant Nov. 8 cartoon, "The end.," I asked myself where Lady Liberty might be going. Could she, perhaps, be on her way to Ukraine, where people are willing to fight to their last breath for freedom and democracy, instead of squandering their future on would-be dictators and their sycophants? I am tempted to join her.

Thanks for publishing Michael Ramirez's wonderful cartoons, but I genuinely cannot tell whether his Nov. 9 entry, "The Founding Fathers are not happy," is supposed to depict the Founders staring disapprovingly at Republicans for voting for Donald Trump — or at Democrats for nominating a Black woman for president. But maybe that was the point?
