Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "...in the headlights"

From DC's anarchist cartoonist Mike Flugennock -

"...in the headlights"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3352

Yep, that's right, kiddies. You heard right — they actually looked us
right in the face and said they didn't see it coming. Cripes,
everybody else and their dog saw it coming; it was on the TV and the
papers and the Internet for weeks, months. Same with Delta.

Really — the leaders of the most powerful nation on Earth, with a
metric buttload of information and resources at their disposal, didn't
see the latest'n'greatest Covid variant coming? Y'mean, they couldn't
get hold of somebody at the WHO, the CDC, the NIH, the Salk Institute
who actually knew a thing or two about virology who could've thrown
them a heads-up? If there's nothing else Anthony Fauci ever did that
was worth a yard sign, this was it.

So, they didn't see it coming? Uh huh. I'm thinking there's something
else that bunch isn't going to see coming, either.

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: Obama's "March On Washington" 50th Anniv. Speech, Condensed

From: mike flugennock

Obama's "March On Washington" 50th Anniversary Speech, Condensed
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=1350

If you're like me, you've had it up to your ears with Liberal hack pundits comparing Barack Obama to Martin Luther King this past week. Still, when you stop to consider: King had a dream, and Obama has a "kill list" -- both pretty high aspirations, so in that sense, yes, they are similar.

If that isn't bad enough, it seems as if the media were packed to the gills this week with every opportunist Liberal politician who can get near a TV camera trying to tell us what King would've thought were he alive today. What really gave me a Hot Dog Burp Of Disgust was Obama himself trying to tell us that King would've supported Obamacare. Yes, that's right -- President Drone Strike looked us all right in the eye and said that Martin Luther King would've supported a big, fat pork barrel for healthcare and pharmaceutical corporations, a massive sweetheart deal forcing us all to pay a tithe to the insurance industry. I know the President Of The Largest Purveyor Of Violence has been cranking up the Obamacare hard-sell these days, but that's really jumping the shark.

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Stealing Our Souls"

From DC's anarchist cartoonist, Mike Flugennock -

"Stealing Our Souls"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3301

There's a new strain of Covidiot virus going around among healthcare
workers — proof that Stupid can strike any of us, though if you
consider how long it takes to become a doctor vs. how long it takes to
become a nurse, it all makes sense.

There have been a couple of outbreaks of the new Stupid Variant in the
past week, in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, and in New York. A
close read of the thread in which Max Blumenthal tweets the NYT
article tells me, personally, that Blumenthal is about to dive down
the anti-vax rabbit hole if he hasn't already. He seems to imply at
one point that PhD's were among the most reluctant to take the
vaccine, which proves nothing except that having a PhD doesn't make
you immune to the Stupid Variant — nor does not being a Trumpster.

But, back to the outbreaks of Covidiot Virus. You know how back in the
1970s and '80s you'd read every so often about some National
Geographic documentary crew going deep into the Amazon jungle or
someplace and encountering some tribe that's lived in isolation for a
thousand years, and they see the cameras and video images of
themselves for the first time and freak out because they think the
cameras are stealing their souls? Well, how different is that from
these doorknobs who think that Bill Gates is putting microchips in
vaccines, or that taking cow dewormer and shitting out your stomach
lining will cure Covid-19?

Alright, just so I'm straight, here... we're being thrown out of our
homes, we're losing our jobs, there's a new COVID-19 wave hitting,
fascists are terrorizing our streets, the cops are mass murdering us —
not to mention that millions of us all over the country still don't
have broadband service — and Mr. Counterinsurgency Big-Shot at the
White House wants to fly balloons over Cuba to "provide internet

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Pigs On The Wing"

DC's anarchist cartoonist Mike Flugennock's latest -

"Pigs On The Wing"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3515

...Smerconish then asked, "What about our role as liberators?,"
to which Waters replied, "You have no role as liberators." When
Smerconish pointed to the US intervention in World War II, Waters
observed, "Thank God, the Russians had already won the bloody war
almost by then. Don't forget 23 million Russians died protecting you
and me from the Nazi menace."
     — Pink Floyd's Roger Waters vs. CNN's Michael Smerconish, 08.06.2022

--

In the past fifteen or twenty years I've seen some pretty sick-ass
bastards'n'bitches drop some sick-ass takes right out in the open, not
giving a damn who heard or cared and thinking that they were just the
hottest goddamn shit on two legs. I've seen George W. Bush sending
thousands of Americans to die for his lies and goading the Iraqis to
"bring it on" from the safety of the Oval Office. I've seen Hillary
Clinton gloating over the death of Gadhafi, burbling "we came, we saw,
he died" and cackling like a goddamn witch, and I've seen Hillary
melting down over the 2016 email leaks and demanding the assassination
of Julian Assange.

Nothing, however, matches the absolute rock-bottom bloody filthiness
of a US-funded Ukrainian neo-Nazi outfit called Myrotvorets, which has
also apparently claimed responsibility for the car bombing
assassination of Russian journalist Daria Dugina, about which the
Washington Post made a right snotty show out of how few fucks they
gave about it. These scum have compiled a friggin' dossier on Roger
Waters — y'know, Pink Floyd, that Roger Waters — and included him on
their "kill list" for speaking out on Ukrainian neo-Nazism and human
rights abuses, and the hypocrisy of US/NATO imperialism in Ukraine.
Yeah, a goddamn kill list, f'crissake.

Above and beyond the comic-book bluster of Hilldawg and Dubya, the
bastards at Myrotvorets are actually claiming credit for
assassinations of dissident journalists, with the funding and blessing
of the US, and are doubling down with threats against some of the most
prominent dissident artists of their generation.

As an artist and political dissident myself — and as someone who's old
enough to remember the night John Lennon was stolen from us — my
disgust is off-scale. Seriously, man. Roger Fucking Waters. Bastards.

If you #StandWithUkraine then THIS is what you stand with. Enjoy it.

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Grand Bargain" (NSFW)

From: mike flugennock: (and passed through unedited - MR)

Grand Bargain
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=1234

You know that when politicians and pundits start throwing the phrase "grand bargain" around on TV, it's time to look the fuck out.

Speaking of which, I'd love to find the Liberal think tank hack who came up with the phrase "grand bargain", so I can beat the shit out of him/her/it. The GOP's transparent, cheesy euphemisms -- like "job creators" -- are bad enough; just imagine that bullshit with an extra added helping of smarm, and you've got the Democrats' transparent, cheesy euphemisms.

Of course, El Presidente will have his sycophantic minions out beating the drum for the Grand Bargain™, trying to convince us that we have a duty to give up our Social Security and Medicare benefits and bend over for austerity -- as if putting up with those zombie clowns during two Presidential campaigns wasn't bad enough. I can just see them down at Busboys'n'Poets now, buttonholing all those Liberals who paid way too much for their burgers and Sam Adams, flocks of so-called Progressives shilling for right-wing policies. Just makes you want to smack the shit out of them, huh?

From Mike Flugennock, DC's anarchist cartoonist -

"Zombie Republic"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3257

California... prophet on the burnin' shore... where Gavin Newsom is whipping the kids back to school so he can whip their parents back to work, where new cases of COVID-19 are up 165% in Los Angeles County at least partially due to brilliance like this:

"...Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva stated that the mandate will not be enforced as it is 'not backed by science' and contradicts the guidelines
of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which recommends only that the
unvaccinated wear masks."

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "A Great Day For America" (or, That Aged Well)"

From Mike Flugennock, DC's anarchist cartoonist - [for the record, I don't necessarily agree w/ his cartoons]

"A Great Day For America" (or, That Aged Well)
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3266

Late this past spring, even while the Delta Variant was spreading in
Europe and elsewhere, Gropin' Joe went on TV in the White House Rose
Garden, pulled off his mask and declared the pandemic over, calling it
"a great day for America" — following later this summer with what had
to be the weakest, most pointless COVID vaccine policy ever. Regular
testing and a mask  requirement? That's it? Not "get vaccinated or get
fired"?

Needless to say, the Washington Post and crew were right on top of it,
cranking out articles about how wonderful it is to be re-emerging, to
go back to "normal", sometimes vaguely insuinuating that people still
wearing masks in the grocery store were "the new weirdos" — as opposed
to the knobs who thought they were being muzzled and forced to breathe
their own CO2, who were last year's weirdos.

Yeah... that sure aged well, didn't it? Seems that Biden & Gang are
employing the same strategy Trump did after the last election.

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Us And Them"

The latest from DC's anarchist cartoonist...

"Us And Them"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3774

"Haven't you heard? It's a battle of words!" the poster bearer cried;
"Listen, son," said the man with the gun, "There's room for you inside!"
— Pink Floyd, "Us And Them" (1973)

Throughout MSNBC's nonstop, never-ending, ceaseless, mind-numbing,
soul-crushing, forever-grinding-on coverage of Trump's little bullshit
real-estate fraud trial, they pretty much paused only to scream and
yell and bitch in befuddlement about how the Donmonster could possibly
still be the goddamn GOP front-runner and bitch bitch bitch above the
law and whine whine whine rule of law and snarl growl yell democracy
is at stake, followed by a pivot to their illustrious GOP primary
coverage in which their chirping mutant anchortarts just couldn't shut
the hell up about how Trump and the GOP's rhetoric is about "us vs.
them" and the Democrats are all about "us".

...and all I could think of in that moment was how thoroughly the
Democratic Party groundlessly scapegoated and demonized Russia for
their own ineptitude and general suckage in the Easiest Slam-Dunk
Election Ever In All Of Recorded Human History Including The Lascaux
Cave Paintings, and how just how much of the Democratic Party's
attitude and general M.O. involves demonizing, scapegoating and
otherizing — whether it's people calling out their Russiagate sham,
their idiotic policy decisions or their collaboration with fascists,
or pretty much anyone on the left calling out their poor record with
ethnic minorities, students, the working class, the poor, or pointing
out their long-established reputation for warmongering, you can pretty
much count on the Democrats to stand on their record, no matter what.

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Havana Syndrome"

From DC's anarchist cartoonist, Mike Flugennock -

"Havana Syndrome"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3328

Well, at long last revealed: the source of that noise that's driving
the staff of the U.S. Embassy in Havana — and the U.S. State
Department — outta their goddamn skulls.

Why, it's the sound of a successful Socialist state right in our
backyard, inventing a fistful of Covid-19 vaccines, being recognized
by a major U.S. medical journal, helping to vaccinate the rest of the
region, treating healthcare as a public good and beating down the
pandemic — all while under continuous blockade, economic warfare waged
by the U.S.

No wonder Gropin' Joe and Skinny Mike Pompeo are screaming "SOMEBODY

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Why The Fediverse Isn't All That"

As DC's anarchist cartoonist Mike Flugennock explains why he's been shut down on Mastodon sm. So he probably is updating that sigline...

They're non-binary, declare their pronouns, wave their trans flags

In January of 2018, I found myself rooting around for alternative
social media spaces shortly after receiving this note full of
thinly-veiled threats from Twitter regarding my following and
retweeting "Russian-influenced" accounts. All the cool kids got one.

That spring, after taking a quick peek at Gab (and a long, hot shower
afterwards), I was turned on to Mastodon by a fellow "Russian dupe" on
Twitter. It was during that first wave of Left voices and publications
being bounced off of Twitter for "Russian influence" — i.e.
contradicting the official US media party line. Of course, I got my
ass over there pronto and set up a presence. I didn't mind that the
traffic was a bit thin; it was basically what Twitter would've been
without the trolls, bots, shills, spammers and Nazis — like, detoxed
Twitter...

Flugennocks Latest'n'Greatest: "Afghan Women's Liberation no. 2"

DC's anarchist cartoonist Mike Flugennock -

"Afghan Women's Liberation No.2 (or, Won't Somebody Think Of The Women?)"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3298

When the US first set out inflicting two decades of destruction and
misery on Afghanistan the Liberals, true to the old Phil Ochs song,
were never more red, white and blue — and the Liberals' most
appallingly cynical appeals for support for that debacle came from the
"imperial Feminists" who tried to tug our heartstrings with horror
stories about burqas, illicit nail salons, and no HBO.

So, it was no surprise when America's Imperial Feminists picked up
where they left off, joining the chorus of bitching, pissing, moaning
and sour-graping about their being run out of Afghanistan, reviving
the tired old bromides about women's rights and how the US "left women
behind" when it dragged its bloody ass out of the place after twenty
years in the Graveyard Of Empires.

The most unctous of these was an article in The Atlantic which dragged
out every one of those tired old arguments, hoary old horseshit so old
it's got SCSI ports on the back. What was merely appalling twenty
years ago is absolutely godawful today, considering the current abuse
of working-class women in the US, and in US satellite states like
Saudi Arabia:

One reason that we stayed in Afghanistan so long with nothing to
show for itexcept the safety of women, @CaitlinPacific writes, is that for
all of our sins, our default position is freedom.
                                    —The Atlantic, @theatlantic on
Twitter, 08.19.2021

Says on the author's profile that she traffics in "thought crimes for
all occasions". I wouldn't know about that, but that article of hers
sure is a goddamn crime, I'll tell ya that for free.

From Mike Flugennock, DC's anarchist cartoonist -

"For All Pigkind no. 2: To Oligarchy, And Beyond!"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3333

So, Jeff Bezos thinks he can tug at my old Boomer heartstrings by
sending up 90 year-old William Shatner (and his toupee) on Blue
Origin's latest suborbital joyride, while continuing to shit on his
workers and dodge taxes. Meanwhile, Elon Musk has opened new vistas in
whiny excuses for not paying taxes on his obscene wealth by puking up
a bunch of balloon juice about Mars and "the light of consciousness".
Nice try, guys — but, no. Also a big "no" to these guys at the Space
Review trying to spin it as an important insight into the effects of
microgravity on old rich and famous people.

And elsewhere in the Space Review, one of their regulars can't shut up
about the "normalization of space tourism" — for anyone who's so
goddamn rich they have the price of a long weekend at the ISS lying
around under their sofa cushions.

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "This Is Your Captain Speaking..."

I can't keep up with DC's anarchist cartoonist, Mike Flugennock -

"This Is Your Captain Speaking..."
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3290

I present for you now, ladies'n'gents, my very first cartoon of the
2024 Presidential campaign — and leave all hope behind...

"Human remains were reportedly found in the landing gear of a US military plane after it departed Kabul airport, with harrowing unverified
footage purporting to show a person trapped on the plane's exterior as it took off...

...In footage too graphic to publish, presumably filmed through
a window by a passenger on board the plane, the person was seen trapped
outside the craft in mid-flight, though it is unclear exactly when the video was
captured or how long after the C-17 took off."

                                  — RT.com, 08.17.2021

...and the tweet in question has since been pulled for "violating the
Twitter rules" — though, luckily, that evil, terrible old
Russian-controlled media nabbed us a frame or two. I wish I'd jumped
on it and downloaded a copy of the video as soon as I saw it — barely
7 months in, and we already have a disgustingly apt visual metaphor
for the entirety of the Biden Years.

This is your future, working-class America.

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "'Progressive' Sanders Loves Him Some Drones"

From Mike Flugennock:

"Progressive" Sanders Loves Him Some Drones
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=1780

I was just checking out this short article in The Hill today about Pwogwessive hero Bernie Sanders and his declaration that he wouldn't end the US drone warfare program. Can somebody please tell me again why I should so much as lift a finger to support this brazen hypocrite? Check this out:

"I think we have to use drones very, very selectively and effectively. That has not always been the case," Sanders said.

No shit, Sherlock. Christ, is this clown really the Great Progressive Hope? Are you friggin' kidding me, man?

"What you can argue is that there are times and places where drone attacks have been effective," he added.

Oh, yeah, especially against weddings, funerals and schools. Now we know why Bernie doesn't spend much time discussing foreign policy, and prefers to keep beating the shit out of that old economic inequality riff. If Pwogwessive America found out too much too soon, they'd bolt the Donkeycratic Party and run like the place was on fire.

Basically, what we're got here is a warmed-over Obama, with the economic inequality rhetoric dialed up a notch or two for all the gullible bougie pwogwessives. Dude had to be dragged kicking and screaming into addressing the ongoing police reign of terror against Black America, and he'd probably still be ignoring the issue if #BlackLivesMatter hadn't publicly gotten all up in his shit about it.

This doorknob needs to stop referring to his sheepdog campaign as a goddamn' "revolution". It's really offensive.

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "The Old Donkey And The Sea"

DC anarchist cartoonist Mike Flugennock's latest -

CW: Obtuse Hemingway reference.

"The Old Donkey And The Sea"
(original working title: "Old Donkeys Rule")

http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3338

Basically, Obamacare all over again. The Democrats threw out
everything their constituents ever wanted in the "Build Back Better"
bipartisan (spit) infrastructure bill in order to please President
Manchin and the GOP, and the rest of us got nothing — and the
Democrats and their mouthpieces on MSNBC will, of course, yell and
scream about how awesome a bill this is until their nipples explode
with delight.

Still, y'shoulda seen that whopper before the trip back, before the
sharks got hold of it.

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Look Out, Bibi's Redlining!"

http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=1172

Mike Flugennock says:

Am I the only one here who saw those fotos of Netanyahu at the UN the other day and wondered "what the hell kind of pointy-haired middle-management dog'n'pony bullshit am I looking at?" Seriously, was the guy smoking crack on the plane to New York, or what?

Oh, and don't forget, folks -- you can't pronounce "Netanyahu" without "yahoo".

Don't lend your hand to raise no flag atop no ship of fools!"

                                               --grateful dead.

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Omicron Lights: They're MILD...!"

From DC's anarchist editorial cartoonist, Mike Flugennock -

"Omicron Lights: They're Mild...!"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3376

Schoolkids and teachers in the UK, Chicago, Oakland and NYC are being
clobbered, child infections are jumping, hospitals are being swamped,
but the State and the media keep telling us that it's "mild" — over
and over and over again, beating the word to death like a slow,
painful mantra, kind of like "Weapons of Mass Destruction"... or,
perhaps the end of a cigarette commercial in the 1950s or '60s —
"...and, they are mild!"

Al Jazeera's just precious as hell, here. They really do think the
Chinese are some kind of weirdos for actually trying to eradicate
covid — they had what... two deaths last year? — while, back in The
West™, we've thrown in the towel; State spokespeople have laughed in
our faces on live TV, and thrown the working class to the wolves with
a big, hot, sloppy slice of "learning to live with it".

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Happy Trails"

From Mike Flugennock, DC's anarchist cartoonist on Sun, Sep 5, 2021

"Happy Trails"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3306

Is it just me, or has The Atlantic become our one-stop shop for
tone-deaf shit takes? My current favorite clunker concerns the fascist
abortion law in Texas, and its potential to turn out the vote for the
Democrats. Yeah, that's right — Texas has gone full-on fascist with
this shit, a fistful of other states are reportedly considering going
that way, and the Democrats' number one priority is — exploiting
encroaching fascism to rustle up votes and money for the midterms, and
herd the Left back into the Party. Git along, little dogies. H'yahhh.

if you are playing games with reproduction rights to stick it to
the other side in the midterms then you're not fighting for anyone's rights,
you're fighting for your own power.
And while we see you doing nothing in power except offering
empty promises for when you get more, no

Flugennock's Latest'n'Greatest: "Axis Of Resistance"

From DC's anarchist cartoonist, Mike Flugennock -

"Axis Of Resistance"
http://sinkers.org/stage/?p=3262

Cuba hanging tough, helping vaccinate the world, getting solidarity and help from all over; Bolivia bouncing that fascist hag Añez; Sandanistas standing firm against US-backed "SOS" astroturf; Venezuela clapping back at US-backed provocateurs and third-rate wannabe Jack Ryans; Peru tossing Fujimori... yeah, these are the kind of "red states" I like.
