Kinhart's Married to Comics featured in WCP

Unfortunately I didn't feel well enough to go see it tonight, but I did drop Paul G off and it was surreal to see Gary Groth's name going around on the marquee.

Ink-Stained Fingers, 'Til Death Do Us Part

Married to Comics, John Kinhart's complex portrait of the union of artists Justin Green and Carol Tyler, premieres at AFI Silver tonight.

It's TIME for my most favorite (and first) convention again, SPX! I first attended wayyy back in 2002 and met the most amazing lifelong friends along the way who have come to mean so much to me. Every year heading back to Rockville (I'm sorry, it is not "North Bethesda", LOL) and encountering so many familiar, loving faces makes me tear up, so don't judge me if I'm crying alone at my table! I have FEELS!  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Baltimore Comic-Con 2023, day one in photos

I was feeling a bit under the weather with incipient con-crud (I blame the kid in Ben Hatke's audience on Thursday who kept sneezing. Or rather his parents since he was about 2). So I did a circle of the place with British comics historian and exhibit curator Paul Gravett (at least until he stopped every two feet to greet someone he knew) and Robb Tanner (webcomics journalist Xavier Xerses back in the early days).

Here's some of the folks that were there today:
