MCPL celebrates TEN YEARS of MoComCon!   Friday, March 20 & Saturday, March 21 Germantown Library & Black Rock Center for the Arts!  MoComCon News + Information! MoComCon Schedule Friday, March 20, 2026 6:00 pm–8:00 pm 6:00–7:00 pm Boardgame Tasting Mixer 6:00–7:00 DC Anime Club Anime Screening Room 7:00–8:00 pm How The Force Can Fix The World—Author Talk with Stephen Kent Book Giveaway: First 100 to arrive at the program will receive free copy of the book! This author talk explores themes from the book How The Force Can Fix The World, connecting pop‑culture storytelling to real-world challenges. The speaker will discuss lessons from the Star Wars universe and how they apply to everyday life. A short Q&A will follow. Saturday, March 21 10:00 am–4:00 pm Activity Schedule: Teen/Adult  Children of All Ages Drop-in Activities all day: Visit the Comic Sale with Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, a Board Game Tasting, Starship Bridge Simulation, Superhero Storytimes and Dance Parties, an Anime Watch Party, Step Into Their Stories: Celebrating 40 Years of American Girl and more!  Enter the MoComCon Cosplay Contest!  The Cosplay contest on Saturday, 3/21 at 3:30pm is open to two age groups (13–17 and adults 18+), with registration on the day of MoComCon. Get your look ready, and bring your entry forms to BlackRock Center for the Arts (adjacent to Germantown Library) starting at 10:30 am on 3/21. No electronic submissions.  Limited to the first 20 entries in each age group. Parent/guardian signature required for ages 17 and under. Children ages 0–12 may participate in a cosplay parade on Saturday, March 21. Line up begins at 2:30 pm for the first 30 kids to sign up.  Graphic Novel Booklists Enjoy graphic novel reading lists selected by MCPL librarians!
