Wilson R. set up today at Columbia Pike Farmer's Market. Arlnow just ran a good profile of him at https://www.arlnow.com/2025/07/31/local-artist-launches-satirical-zine-and-street-studio-pop-up-in-clarendon/ so read that for background. I'd note that his take on Trump and the Virginia flag is classic political cartooning. Local cartoonist Christiann MacAuley contributed a Sticky Comics strip to the zine he's doing. He's selling zines, prints, and stickers. Note his mobile art studio is a bicycle.

Artomatic and comics in photos, part 1 - floors 4 through 1
Artomatic is a semi-annual unjuried art event in and around Washington, DC, usually in an building that is due to be redeveloped. This year, it is at 21st and M St, NW, in an 8-story building. Click the link to check hours and events, but here is a sample of the cartoonist or cartoon-style displays I found in late March, walking through just half of the exhibits. I plan to return for part 2, and I hope to get interviews with people that would be new to this blog. This post except for the initial image, starts on floor 4 and goes down because the elevators were out that day. Part 2 is here.
