Brendan Slocumb, author of The Violin Conspiracy and Symphony of Secrets, returns to Mary Riley Styles Public Library on Saturday, September 20th. He will be discussing The Dark Maestro, the newest of his literary thriller trio.
This novel follows cello prodigy Curtis Wilson who has clawed his way out of inner-city DC and risen to be one of the greats of the classical music world. However, his father, a midlevel drug dealer, crosses the kingpin who kept their family afloat, and the family finds their lives now in danger. The Dark Maestro is a propulsive story about sacrifice, loyalty, and the indomitable human spirit, and we can't wait for you to hear all about it at the event.
