Editor's note: As of this writing, we have not yet received cartoons about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. In their stead, we are using some classic gun cartoons from the incomparable Herblock, courtesy of the Herblock Foundation.
and concludes the collection, which has cartoons from 1954-2000, with : "Perhaps the bleakest truth this collection reveals is that, after more than 70 years, almost nothing has changed."
