Videogame animation voice actors featured in Post
See "The Voices of Video Games: Local Actors Give Life to the Elves and Villains Who Wander the Teeming Cyberspace Underworld," By Ashley Halsey III, Washington Post Staff Writer, Monday, November 24, 2008; B01, for a look at the least-appreciated part of animation.

Zadzooks on Batman Lego and Bennett's Best
Okay, I can understand the appeal of making your own stop-action animation film using LEGO Batman toys. But a videogame? Can anyone explain this to me? Zadzooks reviews it anyway in "ZADZOOKS: Dynamic Duo must save city in LEGO Batman: The Videogame," Joseph Szadkowski, Washington Times Wednesday, October 15, 2008.
And in "Bennett's Best for the week of October 5," By Greg Bennett, Zadzooks blog October 15 2008, Greg recommends DC apes and UK World War 1 stories.

Matt Wuerker posts Palin game on Politico site
I just got 211 points in Matt Wuerker's new online game Sarah Palin: Guardian of the Northern Frontier. I would have done better, but apparently you're not supposed to shoot the pigs or moose.
More of Matt's animation is online too. I only got 182 in Gaffe Gunner Joe.

Zadzooks on videogame with minor comics tie-in and ill-fitting Star Wars characters
For info on some videogame called Soulcatcher IV, the DC comic book that comes with it, and the weird fact that you can have Darth Vader in your game, see "ZADZOOKS: Swords cast world into strife," Joseph Szadkowski, Washington Times Thursday, August 28, 2008.
We also have Bennett's Best online - I looked at the Superman 3-D Final Crisis and put it back. If I made a mistake, somebody let me know.

Sunday NY Times on comic art
Actually both of these are animation -
"Resistance Is Futile" By SETH SCHIESEL, New York Times May 25, 2008, is on Nintendo videogames and begins "It's O.K. to liken Shigeru Miyamoto to Walt Disney."
and those of us raised Christian and of a certain age will relate to this obituary: Dick Sutcliffe, 90, Dies; Began "Davey and Goliath", By BRUCE WEBER, New York Times May 25, 2008. They used to show these shorts at Sunday School once in a while around 1973 or so... I don't remember how as that was before VCRs, but I don't recall a film projector being hauled in either.

Marvel business story in Wash Post? Nah.
Dirk Deppey over at Journalista had linked to what he said was a Washington Post story, which made me wonder how I missed it. Actually, it's a wire story on the Post's site - "Marvel Entertainment: Super Hero Stock?" Anne Kates Smith, Senior Associate Editor, Kiplinger.com, Thursday, May 15, 2008. We'll note it here for posterity.
Also this story was in the paper today, although I can't decide if it's comics or not: "Kid e-Land: Disney's DGamer Enters the Crowded Virtual World," By Mike Musgrove, Washington Post Staff Writer, Friday, May 16, 2008; D01.

Zadzooks is Harvey Birdman videogame review
Voila - "Harvey Birdman tans, gets smiles amid justice," By Joseph Szadkowski, Washington Times, February 9, 2008. Nah, I don't really care either.

Bendis interview in Examiner
The Examiner snuck a small return to comics in today - they used to have 2 pages of strips AND 2 pages of weekly reviews - with a short interview with Brian Bendis on the Halo videogame. The online version is longer than the print one. See Jeremy Monken, "Believe in Bendis," Washington Examiner September 24, 2007, p 25.
