That darn Stantis and Ramirez

We often hear that the camera adds about 10 pounds. What I didn't know was that an editorial cartoonist can add as much weight as he chooses to his subjects. That's what Scott Stantis of the Chicago Tribune did to Vice President Harris in a cartoon included in the July 25 Style article "How political cartoonists captured Biden's historic exit." Do cartoonists ever run corrections?

I am terribly disappointed in The Post for publishing Michael Ramirez's July 26 editorial cartoon, "Lame duck." President Biden's decision does not make him a lame-duck president. When a new president is elected, perhaps this term can be used. Or should we preemptively dub every elected official a lame duck the day she or he takes office, since their terms will expire?
