2 lectures on Chicano art and superhero influences in September

José Alaniz (2012 Smithsonian Latino Studies Senior Fellow from the University of Washington, Seattle) will deliver two lectures on the project he spent the summer researching at the American Art Museum archives and other venues.

September 18, 4pm
"Superheroes and Comics in Chicano Art." East Conference Room, 4th floor, National Museum of American History.

September 20, 12pm
"The Superhero in Chicano Art, Graphics, Comics (1960–80)." Archives of American Art's Executive Conference room, second floor of the Victor Building, 750 Ninth Street NW.
