New signings bonanza and more!

Thanks to everyone who came out to meet Matt Dembicki and Evan Keeling for their new graphic novel, XOC: The Journey of a Great White last weekend! We had a great turnout, and Matt and Evan were nice enough to sign copies of XOC for us, so we have some left at all our stores if you couldn't make it. We also have a limited amount of the signed print Matt did exclusively for us at our Vienna store.

We've got some great new signings we are proud to announce! Raina Telgemeier, creator of the New York Times #1 bestselling graphic novel Smile will be appearing with her new graphic novel Drama at our Vienna and College Park stores, and Ben Hatke, creator of the great Zita the Spacegirl will be appearing there too with his new sequel, Legends of Zita the Spacegirl! The times and store locations are listed in our Events column on the right, we will have more info as their signings grow closer.

Speaking of stores, we have a new online mini-store now! Missed out on a print from a signing? Want to get the first issue of the new kids comics The Phoenix, available only from us anywhere outside of the British Isles? Check out the new Big Planet Comics online store for our exclusives!

Nick from our Vienna store also wrote up a handy guide to catching up with the last few years of X-Men storylines. Feel left behind with the backstory to Avengers vs. X-Men? Trying to make heads or tails of all the X-Men books? Here's our handy Catching Up With the X-Men guide!

Feel free to forward on our newsletter, and please send us any comments or mailing list requests to vienna@bigplanetcomics.com

Thanks!
