White lived in Falls Church, and also wrote for the Falls Church News-Press. He was mostly active in science fiction, but wrote for Heavy Metal as well as the first Captain America prose novel.
The article also notes the comic book artists White hired as an SF editor, "They were joined by some of science fiction’s most exciting artists: Dan Adkins, Vaughn Bode, Doug Chaffee, Jeff Jones, Mike Kaluta, John Pederson, Jr., Joe Staton, and most significantly Mike Hinge."
Ted White was the editor of Heavy Metal for several years, and introduced American creators into its pages.
